​Cate Thero's diverse background in both resort development and operations, strategic consulting, and both marketing and finance; allows her to bring a unique perspective to her consulting assignments. With her multi-functional expertise, she provides creative and analytical insights to help businesses succeed at all stages of the project life cycle.

Cate will be the prime contact for consulting engagements and based on the specific project needs, selects other experts for the project team based on the requisite skill set for that engagement. Cate excels at leading project teams across multiple disciplines to meet key milestones and exceed expectations.

Cate has worked in the resort and hospitality industry for over 30 years and has led consulting projects for over fifty resort development engagements in all aspects of national and international resort development; including hotels, marinas, ski areas, golf clubs, private clubs, man-made surf parks, and vacation home development.

Supporting Cate’s experience at RCA, she was the EVP of Marketing for the developer Replay Destinations and the VP of Marketing for Intrawest and its portfolio of 12 mountain resorts with over 8 million skier visits and 7,800 lodging units under management.  She was also the General Manager of Bear Mountain Resort in California with full responsibility for all aspects of the ski and golf operations and the Director of Hotel Marketing and Conference Sales at Sunday River in Maine. Prior to joining the resort industry, Cate worked as a Senior Analyst with J.P. Morgan in New York.
